How do I pledge?

To start, you must be signed up and signed in to your Kickstarter account.

  • Click the “Back this project” button on our campaign page.
  • Select your reward from the available options. Our Early Bird offers are available only from Aug 6-8, while quantities last!
  • Next you can customize your reward with optional add-ons.
  • Mobile: select your shipping location. This campaign is only available to ship to the following regions: Canada, United States, United Kingdom, European Union, Singapore, and Australia.
  • If you are interested in add-ons, click the “Add” button at the bottom of the add-on option, and then click the “Continue with # add-on” button or “Skip add-ons” button.
  • You will then be shown Your reward total (the combined cost for your reward tier, and add-ons), plus shipping costs. Lastly, you have the option to add Bonus support. Then enter your payment details, country of residence and postal or zip code. Then click the “Pledge” button.
  • Desktop: Select your reward tier, choose your shipping country, optional bonus support, and then click the “Pledge $_” button.
  • Choose your add-ons, and/or click the “Continue” button.
  • You will next see a Pledge Summary showing your Reward, Add-on(s), and shipping costs, with a total cost. You can then add your payment details and click the “Pledge” button.
  • Your shipping address, colour choices, and nib weight(s) will be confirmed at the conclusion of the campaign through a survey

How much do I pledge?

Your pledge amount is based on the tier you chose, plus any add-ons and shipping. The dollar amount = $Reward Tier + $Add-on(s) + $Regional Shipping Fee.

How do I confirm my choice of colours and nibs?

You will receive a link via email to the Backerkit survey at the conclusion of the campaign, at which point you will indicate your choice of pen colour(s), nib choice(s), ink colour(s), plushie colours and shipping address.

Will the nibs fit with my pen(s)?

Although we are using the thread pattern of Jowo nib housing, we cannot guarantee their fit in your collection of pens. Rest assured, we can promise their compatibility with all Ferris Wheel Press writing instruments that use a No. 6 sized nib, including all variants colours of the The Marquise Fountain Pen, as well as The Joule Fountain Pen collection.

My country/region isn't available as an option, is it possible to ship to a region not listed?

Our campaign is only available to ship to the following regions at this time: Canada, United States, United Kingdom, European Union, Singapore, and Australia. The shipping rates are pre-determined and based on the most cost-effective services with tracking. Our aim is to launch this collection globally if our campaign becomes fully funded.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
